ThirdPlan (“ThirdPlan,” “we,” “us”) runs an invite-only platform for curated, in-person social gatherings. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using ThirdPlan you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us and information created as you use ThirdPlan:
Account & contact: your phone number (used to sign in via a one-time SMS code) and, if you provide it, your email address.
Profile: your name, age, gender, occupation, company, industry, a short bio, your city and neighborhoods, interests, weekly availability, and a profile photo you upload.
Membership: application answers, invite codes you redeem or share, and your membership status.
Reservations & attendance: the events you reserve, attend, save, or cancel.
Feedback: ratings and feedback you leave after events.
Payments: when you reserve a seat, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and limited details (e.g. amount, status, last digits/brand); we do not store full card numbers - Stripe does.
Device & usage: notification preferences and, if you enable them, push-notification tokens; plus standard technical logs (e.g. IP address, app/version) used to operate and secure the service.
How we use your information
To create and secure your account and verify your phone number.
To run the core experience: curate guest lists, show events, take reservations, reveal venues, and collect post-event feedback.
To process payments and issue refunds or credits.
To send service messages (event details, reminders, venue reveals) and, where you opt in, other notifications.
To keep ThirdPlan safe - preventing fraud, abuse, and misuse, and enforcing our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
What other members see
ThirdPlan is social, so parts of your profile (such as your name, photo, and the details you choose to share) are visible to other members and to people at the same gathering. Your phone number is never shown to other members. Before an event, other attendees’ identities are kept blurred and are revealed only close to the event.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run ThirdPlan:
Service providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (processes payments), our SMS provider (sends your sign-in code and event texts), Resend and our email provider (send email such as invites and confirmations), and Amazon Web Services (cloud hosting, image storage, and message delivery).
Other members, limited to the profile information described above.
Legal & safety: when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ThirdPlan, our members, or the public.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete your account at any time from Edit Profile; we erase your profile and personal data immediately and retain only the payment and booking records we are required to keep for accounting and legal purposes, with your name and contact details removed.
Your choices and rights
View and edit most profile information in the app at any time.
Manage notification preferences in your profile settings.
Pause your membership - or permanently delete your account and personal data - from Edit Profile, without contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability) under laws like the GDPR or CCPA.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limiting access to personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of incidents where required.
Children
ThirdPlan is for adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
